SHINee is a 5-member group under SM Entertainment. they debuted on may 25, 2008 with 누난 너무 예뻐 (noona neomu yeppeo) also known as replay.

their official color is pearl aqua. and the fans are called shawols, short for SHINee World, which is taken from their first full album.

the official SHINee World fanclub was re-opened on the app Lysn in 2019, but the fanclub originally started in 2009.

the official lightstick was released in 2018, and fans nicknamed it shating star by combining SHINee (in hangul) with shooting star.

샤 = sha from 샤이니 + shoo ting star = shating star

at a time when male idols were generally presented as tough and manly (no matter their age), SHINee debuted with a fresh, almost innocent look.

branded as a contemporary boyband, they're considered SM's most experimental group, with each title track and album exploring a different blend of music genres. they're also known for being trendsetters in both music and fashion.
